In which I randomly click on three blogs from our CafeMom Blogroll of Awesome to see if, indeed, there is any awesomeness to be read. No cheating and going back for another blog, so y'all better not suck today, people. Har.
Click #1: Life Changes After Birth, in which Mama T apologizes to the neighbors for her daughter's Tantrum of Tantrums, because she is mean and wouldn't let the poor child eat a raw ear of corn, the negligent monster. Also: IKEA!
Click #2: Bethiclaus, who is having a TREMENDOUS week, what with the CAR ACCIDENT and all. The CAR ACCIDENT that was not her fault, happened while HER BABY was in the car and did I mention SHE'S PREGNANT? Good gravy. (Don't worry, I used a lot more caps lock than she does. She's apparently better at handling her own life than I am at reading about it.)
Click #3: Ready or Not (or The Official Blog of Poop and Hooters, as it's described at CafeMom, and that gives me no end of amusement), in which we have hilarious tales of Claw Machines and dollies. And then a sweet, sweet letter than made me comment on how dusty my living room must be.
(Wow. That was like, really easy. Go Blogroll of Awesome!)

Just some public props to you, Amy, for showcasing some great stuff that might not otherwise get the exposure it deserves... I love it that!

I don't get why it would have been so awful for the kid to eat the corn raw. What's the biggie?

In the event that you're really asking, Suzy Q, it would seem to me that the big deal is that a kid just doesn't get everything a kid wants.
It's reasonable to plan to serve a child *cooked* corn, and when the child wants to eat raw corn and you say, "No," you can't relent and give the child what they want just because they throw a temper tantrum, as you'd only be validating that behavior.
At least SuperNanny would say something like that, I think.
