And here's my contribution to Project Make Everybody's Butt 10 Times Bigger This Holiday Season:
Cinnamon Jumbles (my absolute most-favorite cookies in the whole world, mostly because they almost taste more like little cakes instead of cookies, and who doesn't love the idea of eating like, a dozen cakes in one sitting?)
For the cookie batter:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
For the topping:
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
Mix butter, sugar and egg thoroughly. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients separately and add to batter. Stir. Chill dough. (I usually chill it overnight, but I believe a couple hours would be enough as well.)
Heat oven to 400°. Drop rounded teaspoons of dough on greased cookie sheet, two inches apart. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Bake 8 - 10 minutes until set and light brown around the edges. Consume.

Thanks!

These are very similar to my favorite cookie, the Snickerdoodle. It's a ball of sugar cookie dough rolled in cinnamon sugar and baked. I'll go post it on the exchange!

Oh snap I bet these would taste good under some ice cream.

Those sound mighty tasty! I'm a big fan of cinnamon cookies in general. I may have to whip up a batch.

These sound heavenly!
Also, mdvelazquez, I have a Pecan Finger recipe up on my site. Not a ball, but in close proximity.

I have a spinach dip recipe, which is both fatty and festive. At least, it's fatty when you include two cups of parmesan cheese. Always back to the cheese!
(Green equals festive, right?)

Pony up, Frema. PONY. UP. WITH THE DIP.

Fatty and Festive is going to be my holiday nickname.

Yes, Frema. Dish the dip, please.
