The first batch of ClubMom "topical" blogs is up and running. Let's meet the degenerates, troublemakers and general rabblerousers behind each of them:
Big Slice of Life, Small Slice of Cheesecake: Written by Jenny Lauck of Three Kid Circus, this blog will document her attempts (and successes! nothing but glorious low-cal successes!) at weight loss. While I'm not sure I'll ever forgive her for introducing me to the Land's End Virtual Swimsuit Model (hate!), I know her blog will be hilarious and tackle the whole post-baby body image issue in a manner infinitely less corny than I did.
Diary of a Single Mom on the Edge: Janeen, who usually blogs at Destinations: Journey of a Restless Mind, will now be weaving her tales of being a single parent to a seven-year-old son here at ClubMom. She describes herself (and I'm totally stealing it word-for-word because she is a much gooder writer than me is) as "a lustful vagabond wild woman feminist writer social scientist woo woo chick, which I'm trying to reconcile with my current situation of being a single mom over 40 who now whores herself out to corporate America--all to feed the kidlet, of course." Don't you just love her already?
Hip Mom & Trendy Tweens: I've only just begun corresponding with Jenn Satterwhite (of Mommy Needs Coffee) for a couple weeks now, yet have already sent her several emails and MomNetwork personal messages while intoxicated. That's how cool she is, especially since she is not (as far as I know) planning an intervention for me at BlogHer this summer. She'll be writing about parenting her TWO tweens. Perhaps I should send her some wine.
Purple is a Fruit: Linda of All & Sundry was one of my pregnancy buddies (okay, more like a "fellow pregnant person who I bothered at all hours of the night with my many various fears, complaints and tantrums"), and our sons were born just a few weeks apart. Which is good, as I think that much cuteness being brought into the world in a single month would have REALLY messed with the planetary alignment and sent Saturn's moons into retrograde. Linda will be writing about life with a baby, and hoo boy, she will be funny.
The Little Zygote That Could: Sheri of mamazine.com is pregnant with her second child. Her baby will be the first child born into the ClubMom Blog World, which means we all must read her pregnancy journal every day because the Little Zygote is OUR CHILD TOO. Seriously, I think that might be in the ClubMom Blog contract. "All children born under the terms of this contract belong to us. Or maybe just to Amy, because she really likes babies."

I have laughed, I have cried. There are so many wonderful blogs out there, and find myself two hours later finally getting out of my computer chair, saying "Wow, Amy sure knows how to pick them."
